Fishylake is a family run carp fishing venue in France which caters for disabled and able bodied people alike, having followed all the recommendations of the British Disability Angling Association.

The fishery is also environmentally friendly. We use solar panels for electricity and we have a specially adapted toilet which is both environmentally and disabled friendly.


We are situated in the heart of the French countryside. Fishylake is around 3 acres with most banks treelined and is the perfect size for up to 4 anglers. It has variable depths of 3 to 7 feet and a firm bed with silt patches with a good variety of lillies in the quiet areas of the lake, where the fish can retreat to.

The Little Priest (Petit Pretre) carp fishing lakes are situated in the Champagne Ardennes region of France just a 4 hour drive from Calais.
The lakes date back over 400 years when they were occupied by the Monks – hence the name. They are also referred to as a Cassini lakes since they were first recorded during the reign of Louis XV who commissioned Ceasar-Francois Cassini of the famous cartographer Cassini family to produce details maps of France which listed Petit Pretre.
Today Petit Pretre consists of 3 main lakes in a beautifully mature 52 acre woodland setting offering a quiet and secluded location. The main lake is about 7.5 acres. It was excavated in 2007/08 with over 2 ton of common and mirror carp added, many weighing in at 30 to 40 lbs, with some mid 40lbs to 50lbs plus too. Most have not been caught yet, so we’re eager to see our prized fish being captured on camera so that the pictures can be place on the club house wall.
We can accommodate up to 7 "Drive & Survive" anglers on the 11 swims (8 single and 3 doubles). We have great facilities which include the Club House / Dining Room with recharging points, kitchen which we use for preparing on-site food and the shower / toilet facilities. All of which are close to each other and the lake.

Lastly, we have great bait packages for the fish and an excellent full board offering for our guests too – so nobody goes hungry.
